Sink, swim or….float? I heard this on the radio the other day and it really got me thinking, why does it feel like things are either a win or a loss? Yet in life a much needed resource for thriving is our flexibility and acceptance. We all need to give ourselves permission to let go of the things that are outside of our control, which allows us to refocus all that energy into the things that matter most. We’ve all had to make some changes in our lives since early 2020, some much more difficult than others. And I know at times, it can feel like you are at the deep end of the pool. When you find yourself there, it is important to remember that sometimes it’s just ok to float…take a deep breath, practice some self-compassion and float like a champ!
